This tutorial shows you how to set up Microsoft Outlook 2010® to work with your e-mail account. This tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook 2010, but these settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook. You can set up previous versions of Microsoft Outlook by using the settings in this tutorial. If you are using another version of Outlook please try one of the other links listed above.
Instructions
1. Open Outlook 2010. If this is your first time starting Outlook 2010, the Setup Wizard will automatically start. Please skip to step 3.
2. Click on the File menu. Click the Add Account button. Now, skip down to step 5

3. The new account creation wizard will appear automatically if this is your first time starting Outlook 2010. Click the Next button.

4. The wizard will ask if you would like to configure an E-mail account. Choose Yes. Then, click Next.

5. Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types and then click Next.

6. Choose the Internet E-mail option from the e-mail services given. Then, click Next.

7. In the User Information area, type your full name and e-mail address in the text fields provided.
In the Server Information area, choose POP3 for the Account Type. In the Incoming mail server: text field, type mail.newportnet.com. In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP): text field, type the same.
In the Logon Information area, type in your full email address as your username and then type in your password in the text field given. Note that choosing the Remember password check box saves your password so you won't have to re-enter it every time you start Outlook 2010.

8. Click the More Settings ... button.

9. Click the Outgoing Server tab.

10. Click the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box. Be sure that the Use same settings as my incoming mail server radio button is also chosen.

11. Now click the Advanced tab. Be sure that the port number for Incoming server (IMAP): is set to 110, and the Outgoing server (SMTP): port is set to 25. Then, click OK.

12. Now, click the Test Account Settings ... button. If you get an error message, please check to be sure you entered your login and password correctly. If you continue to get an error message, you need to call the our Tech Support Center at 541-265-3596. Otherwise if your account is setup correctly the tests should show completed for both sending test message and receiving.

13. Click the Next button.

14. The wizard is now complete. Click Finish.

15. You are now all set-up to use your Newport Internet e-mail account with Outlook 2010!
